Weather cancellation: it's currently 50 degrees at the field and strong wind gusts bring the wind chill temps down into the 40's. Not exactly baseball weather.
Spend today finding the long-johns and checking the woodpile and we'll try it again next week!
There's still standing water on the field and I sunk 3 inches into the squishy at the edges of the water. It might be good for a duck. But for a ballplayer it sure does suck.

At 3:45am, the Saturday deluge still had much of the parking area flooded. But the only other standing water was on top of the gear box. We're on at 9:30am! If the grass dries early enough we'll bust out new balls because in The Show, you hit white balls for batting practice.
Yes, we are on, as we have One Good Man (Eric) who will wrestle the gear this week. Please stay and make sure it all gets off of the field and help him get it packed (and buy him a well-earned frosty cold one!)
Welcome to the 2022 season! This Sunday, the willing Few Good Men will start it out at 9:30 SHARP (we won't be there long) at our Southern Home in the frigid wet to stretch the arm until the shoulder says, "What are you DOING?" (10 minutes?) and then get gone.
